Your personal information collected or stored directly by the Franchise Hotels is not subject to this policy, unless this information has been shared with us, in which case this policy only covers the collection, use and retention of your information by Choice. If you make a reservation directly with the hotel and that hotel uses our proprietary property management system, your personal information relating to that reservation will be transmitted to Choice and processed by Choice. We do not control the collection, use or access to your information by Franchise Hotels and their staff. The Franchise Hotel is the merchant that collects and processes your credit card and receives payment for your stay. Franchise Hotels are subject to the regulations of the credit card managers they select who establish the rules and procedures for credit cards.
